Sell your company's Figma files to AI

Design files are the thinnest market among the records on this site. One of the companies we list, License My Data, names design files, and it takes them as part of a company’s wider record, alongside shared drives and code. On their own, Figma files rarely sell. Next to the product’s code, tickets and the comments that explain each decision, they add context, and that is how to offer them.

Figma’s content training is on by default on Professional

Figma can use content to train its AI models. On the Professional plan content training is turned on by default and a team admin can turn it off in the team settings at any time; on Organization and Enterprise plans it is off and can’t be turned on. Turning it off means new content and edits won’t be used to train Figma’s models. Check the setting before you license a copy to anyone, so you know what has already been shared.

Export whole files as .fig

Figma exports on any plan. You can export a selection, a page, or the entire file as a .fig file, which saves a local copy with its layers intact. Anyone with view access can export as long as the file’s owner hasn’t restricted copying and sharing. Export file by file; there is no one-click export of a whole team.

A deleted team is gone after 28 days

When a team is deleted, its owner or an admin has 28 days to restore it. After that, Figma permanently deletes the team’s files and folders, and it can’t be undone. Export before anyone deletes the team or lets the plan lapse.

What to take out

• Client work. Designs made for a client may not be yours to license.
• Licensed assets. Fonts, icons and stock images inside the files have their own terms.
• Unreleased product. Decide whether screens for features you still plan to ship should be in a sample at all.
