Common questions
Does anything I pick reach Dataconto?
No. The check runs on your device and sends nothing.
Can a founder license the records after the company closes?
Not in their own name. The records belong to the company, so someone who can still act for it signs: a director of a dissolved Delaware corporation for three years, or a trustee, administrator or liquidator. Who owns a dissolved company's data has the rest.
Do I have to remove personal data before I talk to a buyer?
No. micro1 says you don't need to anonymize anything first, and Turing removes personal data and secrets before anything reaches a model. Agree who does it before any sample leaves the company. The rights checklist says what counts as anonymous.
What if one customer's contract rules them out?
Leave the records that mention that customer out of the license. The rest can still go.
