Details on pay
Mode reviews “the systems, history, ownership, and available data before making an offer”.
What Mode does with your records
Mode (Mode Mobile, also run as BizBuyData) buys an agreed, filtered copy of your records for AI research and training. The company keeps its original records and systems. Mode says it removes sensitive material and transforms personal identifiers in the copy.
How it works
- Apply. You apply through Mode’s company page, or we introduce you with your OK.
- Review. Mode reviews the fit and works with you directly from there.
- Scope. You agree the systems, date ranges and what stays out before anything is exported.
- Export. Your team signs in to the approved systems and Mode runs the export, so no passwords change hands.
Before you apply
- Keep the accounts open. Mode exports while your team is signed in, so a canceled workspace can’t be exported. If the company is winding down, keep the admin logins until Mode has what it needs.
- Know your headcount, since Mode’s minimum depends on your industry.
- Know which systems hold customer personal data, so you can say where it sits when you agree the scope.
- Read customer contracts and data processing agreements for clauses that restrict sharing records that mention customers.
