Support and order history are what they list
Scale names direct-to-consumer e-commerce, and Miro Advisory names “e-commerce and fulfillment” systems. The records that show how a store runs are:
- Support tickets, often in Zendesk: a question, the reply and whether it worked.
- Orders, returns and refunds in Shopify, which Telegraph lists by name.
- Customer and campaign history in a CRM such as HubSpot.
- Supplier and carrier email, and the accounting records behind each order.
Turing names marketplaces next to e-commerce, so a marketplace’s dispute and seller-support records fit here too.
Shopper personal data comes out first
A store’s records are full of shoppers’ names, addresses and order details. The companies we list remove them before training. Telegraph removes names, contact details and account IDs or swaps in placeholders, micro1 removes personal and identifying information, and Scale says customer identities never leave your company.
Your own privacy policy matters too. Read what it told shoppers about sharing their data, and go through the rights checklist before you agree a scope.
Size floors start at 20 to 40 people
micro1 asks for 30 or more full-time employees, Mode for 30, and Scale prefers 40. Miro Advisory works with roughly 20 to 700. Grepped and Maryah publish no size limit, which gives smaller stores a place to apply.

Questions owners ask
Can a Shopify store sell its data to AI companies?
Telegraph lists Shopify among the operating systems it takes records from. Shopper names and contact details are removed before the copy is shared, and your privacy policy has to allow it.
Is a small online store big enough?
Most published floors start at 20 to 40 people. Grepped and Maryah publish no size limit, so a smaller store can still apply to them.
