Answer the five questions to see whether you can license the game, and what to fix first.

What the engines and stores say about AI training

Who owns the game and who signs matter as much as the engine. Can you sell a game's source code to AI companies? covers both.

Common questions

Did Unreal drop its AI training ban?

Yes. On October 29, 2026, Epic deleted the two AI restrictions from section 6(e) of the Unreal Engine EULA. New users get the new EULA automatically, and existing users accept it on Epic's acceptance page. Epic says the change gives it no rights to your content or code.

Can I use Unity Asset Store assets to train AI?

Not without consent. Unity's Asset Store terms bar using its assets to train an AI model without the express consent of the pack's publisher or Unity, so leave them out of a license.

Do I lose my game if I license it?

No. Patronus AI's license is non-exclusive. It gets a copy of the code, the original assets and the history, and you keep selling the game.

Can I license a game I haven't released?

Not to Patronus AI, which licenses released games. Keep the repository and the art source files with their full history until it ships.

Does anything I pick reach Dataconto?

We count which answers people pick, to see who uses the check. The page asks for no name, and none is sent.
